Delete Your Account
You can ask us to close and archive your Nilam Insights account, and stop all further processing of your personal data, at any time. You do not need to sign in or install the app to make this request.
What happens when you ask
1. We verify the request
We check that the request genuinely came from the person who owns the account, using the mobile number you sign in with. We confirm by email or WhatsApp within 48 hours.
2. Your account is closed and archived
You can no longer sign in. Your details stop being used to provide the Service, to contact you, or for any marketing.
3. Legally required records are kept
Invoices, signed agreements and property records must be retained under Indian tax and companies legislation. They are locked down, used only for that legal purpose, and deleted when the retention period ends.
What stops immediately
- Access to your account — you can no longer sign in
- Service notifications by WhatsApp, email and SMS
- Any marketing or promotional messages
- Your profile details being used to operate the Service
What we must keep, and why
- Invoices, receipts and payment records — 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year
- Signed agreements and acknowledgements — for the limitation period applicable to the contract
- Property records, land documents and site visit evidence held under an organisation account — these belong to that organisation; ask its administrator if you want them removed
- Records subject to an ongoing legal claim, investigation or regulatory hold
